Serving
Faithfully
One of the most unique ways that anyone can respond to God is by beginning to serve within an area of ministry that you feel called. We know that all of us have different gifts and talents and knowledge and personalities, and all of that is wrapped up into finding the right spot to serve alongside of others wanting to fulfill that mission of Serving Faithfully. Check out some of these spots below and partner with us here at GPC.
The foundation of our worship is grounded on having a genuine dialogue with Jesus. As musicians, our worship team works hard to lead the worship for our Sunday Service with the focus being said in one phrase “Worship from the Heart not the Chart”.
Musicians and Singers who have a love for Jesus and want the opportunity to use their gift to glorify our Lord.
- Serving on the Worship Team is a volunteer position however, its important to recognize the role we play. In every position on the platform, we are leading the church into worship. Worship Team volunteers need to be comfortable with their respective instrument, that way our focus can be to worship Jesus and not to distract the congregation.
- We have established the team in a way to allow everyone the chance to have time off the platform and to focus on your time with the Lord. Volunteers have the freedom to set how often they want to serve through the Planning Center App, blockout any dates that are unavailable and have access to all details relevant to your position.
Our Audio/Visual team is the back-bone of our Sunday Service. Whether you’re operating the audio board, PowerPoint, Stage Lights, or livestream cameras. These talents are definitely recognized through their desire to serve the Lord through their special skills.
- Whether you are experienced or not, we welcome you to join the Tech Team. Some positions require more skills than others, however, we are willing to train and put you in spots that work best for you.
- You’ll get the opportunity to work with up-to-date equipment and software.
- Volunteers have the freedom to set how often they want to serve through the Planning Center App, block out any dates that are unavailable and have access to all details relevant to your position.
We know that a priority for most is that the safety and security of their family while they are out and about is in place. While we have not had any major events in this regard at our church, we recognize the need to have people in place to respond appropriately should something occur. With this team, we keep our eyes open through regular connection with our ministry team leads and our security system during our times of gathering together. If this area interests you, we would love to have you partner with us in keeping us all as safe as possible.
There is no better way to make a first impression than as you are walking into the building and be greeted by a friendly smile and a warm welcome. Our welcome team of greeters do an amazing job of opening up the doors to our church family and helping everyone who walks in those doors feel comfortable, whether it’s your first time or hundredth time. Simple, easy, and vitally important to who we are as a church.
Each and every week we lay out for all of our folks a very nice spread of “continental” breakfast. A grab and go, sit and talk, friendly cafe staff to get you want you need, from coffee, to crackers, to donuts and fruit. Our cafe group makes sure that it is all put together and replenished through the morning. And then they serve in the clean-up process as well. It’s a comfy, cozy, connection point that makes us a little bit different than most.
Maybe the most impactful way to impact the Kingdom of God is to serve our little ones by teaching them about Jesus. We love our littles and do our best to make it a fun time for all of those serving them as well. Through using the Orange Curriculum, it makes it interactive with scripture and video elements, as well as some small group time, but it is all laid out for you before you step in those doors. We are always needing adult and student leaders in all of our kid’s areas, from pre-school and nursery, and up into our elementary room as well.
